June 1 – 5 | Teen Week (ages 13-17)
Teen Week is for 13 to 17 year olds and moves at a quicker, more intense pace. They will learn basic vocabulary and simple conversation skills. With successful completion, they can apply to return as junior counselors (volunteers) for the following weeks, giving them more (and free) opportunities to learn as well as good experience for transcripts and resumes.
June 8 – July 2 | Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced Levels (ages 6-12)
These classes will be offered in three levels—Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. We will evaluate campers and move them to different levels as needed. All the weeks will feature Deaf history and culture, and we will go on one to two field trips a week. We have some fun things planned! Not only will we be learning ASL, but we will practice our skills in different venues like the Farmer’s Market, the Library, bowling, field days, and other outings. We're also bringing in some very interesting presenters! Campers may attend one week or multiple weeks to experience different trips and presenters and to advance through levels.
Camp starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. If the camper needs to be dropped off earlier and/or picked up later, he/she may be dropped off no earlier than 8:30 a.m. and must be picked up no later than 4:45 p.m. The before and after care is an additional $40.00 per week.
Campers will need to bring their own lunch and snacks. Please, NO PEANUTS or PEANUT BUTTER! They will have the opportunity for a snack in the morning and in the afternoon.
