Dear Patients,
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation during these challenging times. We have diligently prepared new protocols and are looking forward to resuming a new 'normal’ operation. We appreciate you and the trust you have placed in our doctors and staff.
As you know, the COVID pandemic has brought about many changes to our lives and how we will work going forward. COVID is a disease that no one fully understands, however we do understand how to minimize risk of contracting and spreading it. Wearing masks, hand washing, frequent sanitizing of patient interaction areas, providing gloves, hand sanitizer and hand washing stations are among ways we will mitigate that.
Our new protocol requires all persons, including patients and employees, entering the office to wear masks, sanitize their hands upon entering, and temperatures will be checked with an touch less thermometer (those with temperatures over 100.4 will be asked to see their doctor and postpone their eye exam/employees will not be able to work if they have a fever or feeling sick Social distancing will be utilized, where possible, by only allowing 1-2 patients(max 3) in office and will be in different ‘zones’ in the office to comply with 6 feet apart recommendations. We will assist you when frame styling by sanitizing each frame prior to trying them on and after. Large sneeze guard plexiglass will be placed at front desk, and dispensing tables for you and our employees’ safety. Breath guards have been installed at all testing equipment areas.
We are asking patients to reschedule your appointment if you are exhibiting COVID related symptoms or have been exposed to someone with COVID in last 2 weeks. Please call us prior to your arrival to inform us so we can appropriately reschedule you. Symptoms are, but not limited to: fever, fatigue, dry cough, body aches, shortness of breath, headaches, new loss of smell and taste.
Our highest priority is the safety of everyone who comes to our clinic and the changes that have been instituted is to help keep you and our staff safe.
By signing this treatment of consent, you acknowledge that despite our very best efforts, you may still be at risk to possible COVID-19 exposure and you accept and understand this risk during your visit at our office.
