We have a number of interventional treatments that we can use to help patients get well. In the consultation with one of our experienced physician-psychiatrists, we will review all the options. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
1. FDA cleared for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD),
2. FDA cleared for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD),
3. FDA cleared for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) with anxiety,
4. FDA cleared for Augmentation of Smoking Cessation.
We can treat any of these conditions. Most insurance covers treatment for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) with or without anxiety, and some cover OCD when multiple medications and therapies have not helped. If a patient with Major Depressive Disorder has suicidality, they can receive this treatment if they are safe to be managed in an outpatient setting. Esketamine (Spravato)
1. This is a medication given in a treatment series for Treatment Resistant depression and Major Depression with suicidal ideations.
2. FDA cleared for Treatment Resistant depression
3. This is considered a maintenance treatment which means that most patients continue to receive the treatment every 2 to 4 weeks following the initial treatment which is 8 sessions within the first month.

Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS)
1. This is a treatment which we call a "pacemaker for the brain."
2. FDA cleared for Treatment Resistant Depression since 2006
3. This is a surgical device which is implanted until the clavicle and threaded along the Vagus Nerve to give repetitive stimulation up the Vagus Nerve to the Brain.

Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)
1. This is an FDA cleared treatment
2. ECT has been used for over 50 years clinically for Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar disorder (mania and depression), and Severe suicidality, as well as other diagnosis.
3. While this can be scary, mainly because of the unfortunate examples in historic movies, this treatment a highly effective tool to quickly help patients recover from difficulties.
4. It is one of the best treatments for Major Depressive Disorder with psychotic features.
