The Harrison Central School District is planning for the safe return of all students for in-person instruction five days per week. The District's plan to welcome students back for in-person instruction every day includes a comprehensive list of safety precautions:
- Installing air filtration systems in every instructional space
- Encouraging & facilitating the vaccination of all adults in our schools
- Conducting surveillance testing of a representative sample of students, faculty and staff each week
- Placing barriers on desks as required by NYSDOH when students are less than 6 feet apart
- Requiring face coverings for students and adults at all times
- Daily CrisisGo questionnaire to screen students and adults for COVID-19 symptoms
- Comprehensive cleaning, handwashing & respiratory hygiene protocols
Recognizing that some parents would prefer to have their children learn virtually, even with these safety precautions in place, the District is offering parents the option of selecting or continuing the 100% virtual learning model.
Please complete this survey for each child that attends Harrison schools by Monday, March 22, 2021, to provide information that will help the District to plan for the return of students to in-person learning. At the end of the survey, you will be prompted to complete the survey again if you have an additional child.
