    First time daycare guests only

For your pet’s first visit to Doggie Daycare extra precautions will be taken to slowly transition him or her into the group setting. A daycare evaluation is done by our Animal Care Team members and a doctor so that we can assess your dog’s reaction to a group dynamic and evaluate how he/she communicates with the other dogs. At the discharge appointment we will discuss your dog’s response to the group, any concerns we noted during this first visit and whether we feel they are a good candidate to continue.

    Aggression Policy

Our animal care team has been well trained in recognizing behaviors and body language which indicate stress so that we can prevent escalation and avoid altercations. Dogs that enjoy more physical play may need to be placed in groups away from dogs that prefer less physical interaction. Overtly aggressive dogs will not be allowed to participate in Doggie Daycare. Reasons for dismissal: Any incident in which a dog exhibits failure to inhibit his/her bite and causes injury will warrant a discussion with his/her owner and removal from Doggie Daycare permanently. Any dog that shows a pattern of behavior that instigates stress or provokes other dogs will also be removed from Doggie Daycare. This policy is intended to ensure the safety of all of our daycare dogs as well as our staff, as this is our highest priority.

    Injury Policy

If your dog is injured or appears ill in Doggie Daycare we will contact you at the phone number provided on your daycare contract. If this injury is caused by an altercation with another dog we will discuss the circumstances surrounding this incident with you. Even though our Animal Care Team is well trained in recognizing signs that often precede aggression and pro-actively intervening, altercations (while rare) can occur in group settings and are a risk of group play amongst dogs.
