The mission of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Fire Management Program is to provide a productive wildland fire management resource. Fire Management will support the Interagency Operations Guide/ Cheyenne and Arapaho Fire Management will provide leadership and experience to produce quality and experienced leaders for the future.

Professional Conduct
- Follow the chain of command.
- You opinion is important, present it in a professional manner.
- When opinions are expressed and discussions or debates are over, a decision will be made. Once the decision is made, it is expected everyone will support it. NO UNDER MINING WILL BE TOLERATED.
- Don’t make quick judgements, get all facts and then keep an open mind.
- Before presenting problems, ideas or opinions to your supervisor, explore possible solutions and be prepared to express alternatives. Don’t just dump (pass the rock) the problem or your supervisor. You may not like the resolution.

Inappropriate Behavior:

It is extremely important that inappropriate behavior be recognized and dealt with promptly. Inappropriate behavior is all forms of harassment including sexual and racial harassment. Harassment in any for will not be tolerated. When you observe or hear of inappropriate behavior you should:
- Inform and educate subordinates of their rights and responsibilities.
  - Tell the harasses to stop the offensive conduct
- Provide support to the victim.
- Report the incident to your supervisor and the individuals’ supervisor, it the behavior continues. Disciplinary action may be necessary
- Develop appropriate corrective measures.
- Document inappropriate behavior and report it to the appropriate incident manager or agency official.
- While working in and around private property, recognize and respect all private property.
Drugs and Alcohol:
- Non-prescription unlawful drugs and alcohol are not permitted at the incident.
- Use of medical marijuana on incidents is prohibited.
- Possession or in use of these substances will result in disciplinary action.
- During off-incident rest periods, personnel are responsible for proper conduct and maintenance of fitness for duty. Drug or alcohol abuse resulting in unfitness for duty will result in disciplinary action.
- Be a positive role model. Do not be involved with drug or alcohol abuse.
- Report any observed drug or alcohol abuse to your supervisor.

Missed Examinations: If a firefighter fails to attend a scheduled exam, without cancelling the appointment at least 24 hours in advance, the administrator will suspend the firefighter from participating in the wildland fire program for one year due to the missed appointment.

Firefighters must contact the Comprehensive Health Scheduling (CHS) Representative at (888)636-8619, option 1, to cancel or reschedule the appointment. Do not try to cancel or reschedule an appointment directly with the facility.
