• Covid Vaccination Status

  • I know for some this is easy, for some this is hard. Thank you very much for doing this and everything you have done during the pandemic and before and will continue to do! We will come out the other side of this. To try add a smile to your day; here is a picture of goats. -Serena

  • From Robin: Thanks for taking a moment to fill out this form. Details on the state guidelines are included below, as we have heard them from the Home Care and Hospice Association of Colorado (HHAC). We have faith that, just like the mountain goats on Mt. Evans, we are hardy and will come out of this stronger than ever. :)

  • From Georgette, our Nurse:

The vaccine boosters are now approved for immunosuppressed people. We will find that those not vaccinated will find it more and more difficult to participate in anything anywhere without a vaccine passport. As we know, there is breakthrough of about 5% even in vaccinated but they are not hospitalized. Schools are reporting outbreaks throughout the country even with masking as children under 12 are not approved yet and some parents are asymptomatic or traveling, or even just attending house parties, going grocery shopping with visitors from out of town with high incidence rates, and even gas stations where 1000 people daily touch a pump. Antibodies are decreasing 8 months after our two vaccines currently, therefore the guidance is to receive boosters and provide protection against variants. I worry about our vulnerable clients with celebrations and indoor events. Let's stay safe. I am here to answer any questions people may have, we have remained disease free to date and that is remarkable with this safe science.

  • “…promulgate emergency rules pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-4-103(6)(a) to require all personnel working in facilities with our vulnerable populations in Colorado to be vaccinated against COVID-19. These rules should apply to anyone directly involved in health care and support staff who regularly come into contact and share spaces with vulnerable populations including patients seeking medical care in essential medical settings and in congregate senior living facilities. Anyone subject to the rules should receive a first shot no later than September 30, 2021.”

(Bold type added by HHAC - See Attached for Full Letter )

We are seeking more information from CDPHE, but it has been clarified that home based services fall into the category of groups that would be required to be vaccinated. CDPHE is working to put together an emergency rule hearing by September 1st in order to give providers some time to achieve compliance by September 30th.

  • Notes about religious exemption: The religious belief may be newly adopted, inconsistently observed, not part of a formal church or sect’s religious practice or different from the commonly followed tenets of the individual’s religion. As an example of the broad interpretation of sincerely held religious beliefs, courts have determined that veganism may constitute a religion where an employee protests to receiving a vaccine containing animal products, such as eggs.
