The Wyoming Rapid Response fund is a one-time emergency assistance fund operated by the Volunteers of America out of Sheridan. The service is only available one time for Wyoming Residents. You must go through a community referral partner at a Community Resource Center, Nonprofit Organization, Churches, or law enforcement to apply.
At YCAN, we provide coordination to other anti-poverty programs in the community to our customers in which we could not meet their current needs. The applicant's responsibility is to complete this form, upload a copy of the invoice or estimate for services, and a W9 from the vendor. You can find the W9 form online at https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf.
Once the application is submitted to YCAN, we will review it to ensure it is eligible under their program guidelines and submit only eligible applications to Volunteers of America. They have a committee that reviews applications, verifies eligibility, and approves requests. If it is approved, they will process a check and mail it directly to the vendor. Then, they will contact YCAN and let us know, and we will contact you with their response. This process may take a few weeks, so please be patient.
