Conditions of Community Service
1. The client will not be credited with any Community Service (UPS) hours until the $120.00 registration fee has been paid in full. The fee should be paid in either in person in cash or online with credit card. If you prefer to pay in cash please go to the Resillience Center at 405 Castle Creek Rd, Ste 110, Aspen, CO 81611 OR our Drug Testing Office at 206 Cody Lane, Ste B, Basalt, CO 81621. If you are paying in cash you will need complete this form in person.
2. If you were sentenced in another county, you are required to be transferred to Recovery Resources. Talk with your sentencing county to get an Inter-county Referral Form (ICR).
3. You must contact the UPS office for worksite approval if the work-site was not on the contact list. Credit will not be given for any hours completed at a worksite that was not pre-approved. Internet Community Service Programs will not be accepted.
4. Your timesheet will be provided at registration. Your timesheet must have the authorized supervisor’s signature and phone number on it for verification.
5. You will return the completed time sheet(s) to the UPS email address by the due date on the top of the form and emailing to communityservice@recoveryresourcescolorado.org
Other options for returning your time sheet(s) are dropping it off to the above addresses OR mailing them to Recovery Resources, POB 373, Snowmass, CO 81654.
Do not give your completed time sheet to the Courts, Probation Officer or the District Attorney. Credit will not be given for any NON-VERIFIED UPS work. If any hours or signatures are falsified on the form, the Court and the District Attorney offices will be notified.
6. You must complete UPS work within the time periods specified by the sentencing order. Hours are due 7 days before the sentencing review date. (Please contact Recovery Resources to confirm your due date.)
7. Your working hours will be no more than a total of 10 hours in a 24 hour period.
8. You must not report to any worksite under the influence of alcohol and or drugs and must use all safety equipment as instructed.
9. You must find appropriate transportation if your driver’s license has or will be suspended or revoked.
10. If you are in District Court, you are required to complete 5 hours of community service per week.
11. It is your responsibly to email or drop off the time sheet to Recovery Resources before your due date. You will not receive reminders that your hours are due. No hours count after the due date.
12. It is your responsibility to comply with the Court’s sentence. You must promptly report to the Worksite location sober at the times agreed upon with the Agency. You must complete the work assignment in a manner deemed satisfactory to the Worksite Supervisor.
13. In the event of injury during the performance of UPS, you will immediately notify this UPS Coordinator for insurance claim processing instructions. Failure to follow will absolve the program of financial responsibility.
