If you become unable to pay this, we absolutely will accommodate you. Please let your clinician know.
We accept some insurance plans through Headway. Check https://headway.co to see if we are able to work with your specific plan. We do not work with medical insurance plans outside of Headway, but are able to see those covered in NC, NY and OR.
In addition to sessions, we must charge these amounts on a prorated basis for other professional service time you may require, such as physical home visits, in-office visits, report writing or consultations with other professionals (primary care physician, psychologist, psychiatrist, etc.). We will alert you to any billable time before charging your account and will require your written permission before consulting additional providers outside of our practice. We bill in 15 minute increments should your case require extra time outside of your regularly scheduled therapy session (online or in office).
If you become involved in litigation that requires our participation, you will be expected to pay for the professional time required, even if your clinician is compelled to testify by another party.
Payment is due at time of scheduling, when we begin making space for you. If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, we require no less than 24 hours notice. If you do not attend your scheduled appointment and have not given 24 hours notice, your charge will be applied to the missed session. (It's important for us to have notice so we can make sure everyone gets to be seen who needs to be seen on any given day, and that we have prepared to hold space for them.) You receive a confirmation email as well as text message reminder. Please use the Cancel/Change Appointment Buttons in your email reminder to make any changes. Our journey together ends with a termination session, where you will go over whatever progress you’ve made, and we can set some goals for going forward. All of our work begins with an intake and ends with a termination session.
The people who do this work were called to pursue training in these areas, and our time is not something that is owed a "refund" if you are somehow unhappy with your experience working with us. The experience you have with this process is your own. Many people will find confronting hard topics difficult to pursue fully or to process fully or effectively. We make every effort to monitor your progress along your journey with us to ensure we are able to do our best work together and to compensate your team for their time and dedication to helping you towards some sense of balance.
Sessions start on the hour. While we do have a 15 minute window to still be able to get our work done, if you are beyond 15 minutes late, we will need to schedule you for a follow up, and your session will be charged as a no show as outlined above. Likewise, if your therapist runs long in the session before yours, and is not able to start by 15 minutes after the hour, we will be happy to see you for the remaining time as well as offer you a follow up session free of charge.
Although we cannot predict how many sessions you will need, you can use the fee structure above to calculate a good faith estimate of $300-$700 a month for out of pocket expenses for self-pay clients based on 4 individual sessions per month.
