    • Can I have an allergic reaction to the vaccine?
    • Serious allergic reactions to the COVID-19 vaccines are rare, but our pharmacists are prepared to respond. You will be asked to wait for 15-30 minutes after receiving your shot for observation. This will ensure that you are near one of our trained pharmacists if you do experience an allergic reaction. Patients with a history of serious adverse reactions should speak to their doctor or medical provider before receiving the vaccine.

    • How do I report a reaction to the vaccine?
    • The CDC has developed a smartphone-based tool called v-safe that uses text messaging and web surveys to provide personalized health check-ins after you receive a COVID-19 vaccination. Through v-safe, you can quickly tell CDC if you have any side effects after getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Depending on your answers, someone from CDC may call to check on you and get more information. V-safe will  also remind you to get your second COVID-19 vaccine dose if you need one.

Your participation in CDC’s v–safe makes a difference — it helps keep COVID-19 vaccines safe. After your vaccine, you can sign up for v-safe at https://vsafe.cdc.gov/en/.
