  • Year-round staff

    • We schedule daily or weekly, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, starting at $15 per hour
    • Most year-round programs are in West Ashley (South Windermere) but staff may also be scheduled in Mt Pleasant (Waterfront Park)

    Summer:

    • We try to accommodate age group and location preferences, but staff may be scheduled to work with grades 1-8, at each of our three locations.
    • We schedule summer shifts, Monday-Friday, for the entire camp day, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. There will be some work required outside of the camp day, like communicating with parents and staff.
    • Staff must be able to work at West Ashley, Mt Pleasant and Cosgrove locations.
    • We pay a flat rate of 37 hours per week, which is a little more than the time required, for simplicity, and provide extra pay to staff who work more than 37 hours.  Trip assistants start at $15 per hour and leaders at $18 per hour.
  • Staff don't need to be super outdoorsy, but are expected to be comfortable being outdoors all day in all kinds of weather.  We also look for staff who can keep kids emotionally and physically safe, lead group games, coordinate plans with outfitters and co-workers, and communicate with parents.

Adventure Camp (grades 4-9) staff do need to be able to paddle a sit-on-top kayak.  All Camp staff should be able to ride in a passenger van, be on a boat, wade at the beach and in a pool (kid's waist-deep water), go for nature walks, be outdoors all day, and participate in games.
