Pharmacogenomics (PGx) Test
Pharmacogenomics is the study of genetic variations that influence an individual’s response to drugs. A person may respond very differently than others to the same medication. For example, two people may be taking the same dosage of the same medication, yet one person’s risk for an adverse drug event can be far greater if their genetic makeup impacts metabolism of this particular drug. Similarly, it may require one person a much greater dose of a medication to achieve a therapeutic response – the ideal medications and doses a person should be taken can be determined through genetic testing instead of trial and error.

What Can This Test Tell Me?
This test may provide you with a clear report of the medications best suited to you. It breaks down over 200 common medications into three categories - drugs that can be used as normal, drugs that should be used with caution, and drugs that should be discontinued. We provide details of how your genetic makeup affects each medication, and the report breaks down and assesses your current medication/vitamin regime. Do not make any changes to your medications without consulting with a medical professional.
