RBT Initial Competency Information

Steps to Becoming an RBT 

1. Complete 40-hour Training 
2. Complete Initial Competency Assessment 
3. Register and Apply on the  www.BACB.com  website 
4. Submit all required documents 
   1. High school diploma/Bachelors/Associates degree
   2. Cleared background check 
   3. 40-hour RBT training certificate completed within 180 days and outside of 5 days. 
   4. Completed & signed Initial competency assessment 
5. Schedule RBT Exam 
6. Take & Pass RBT Exam 
7. Maintain your credentials

I understand that Look Up Therapy will assist me with obtaining my RBT certification by doing the following:

• Assist in registering for a 40-hour RBT certification course
• Provide step by step instructions to apply for RBT certification
• Complete Initial RBT certification competency assessment for $150 (refunded after 90 days of employment with Look Up Therapy).
• Assign a BCBA for the BACB website
• Review and provide study material for the RBT exam

I understand and agree with the following statements:

• I am responsible for completing the 40-hour RBT course within 14 days of signing the job offer letter
• Scheduling the initial competency assessment with the Clinical Director,
• Paying $150 for the competency assessment 2 days prior to the initial competency assessment
• Submitting the required documents to the BACB website for RBT certification,
• Scheduling and passing RBT exam within 21 days of returning signed job offer letter.
• I understand that if choose not to stay with Look Up Therapy for the full 90 days, I will no longer be compensated $150. Look Up Therapy will then have the right to remove supervised BCBA and the responsible certificant.

By signing this Agreement, I acknowledge that I understand and will proceed with the described steps listed above and I conform to the terms and conditions for the use of said equipment.
