Mechanism :

A Laser Rejuvenation Facial is a non-ablative laser procedure to improve skin texture and firmness, targeting the papillary dermis. It is proven to produce new collagen, minimize fine lines, wrinkles and large pores. It is sometimes referred to as the "warm laser facial" - comfortable and enjoyable

Safety:

All required safety precautions and equipment specific guidelines will be followed to ensure the utmost safety during your treatments.

Limitations:

I understand that Laser Rejuvenation is an elective cosmetic procedure and that no guarantees are made or implied regarding the effectiveness or my actual results. A series of treatments is necessary to achieve maximum benefits. 

Discomfort:

A slight to moderate warming sensation may be experienced during laser treatment. I understand that I will have sunburn - type sensation in the treated area up to several hours after treatment.

Skin Effects:

I understand that most people will experience some redness and mild swelling after the treatment of the skin. I understand that in most cases, all of the effects should resolve themselves within a few hours. Scarring is extremely rare and usually only happens with those individuals predisposed to keloids or excessive scarring. I have been advised not to undergo Laser Rejuvenation if I have such a history. Pigment changes (Skin Color) Hypopigmentation ( Lighter), or Hyperpigmentation (Darker), can occur but on rare occasions. These effects are usually temporary although can be permanent. Any laser procedure can result in swelling, blistering, crusting, flaking or bruising or the treated area which may require one to three weeks to heal Finally, skin infection is a rare possibility whenever a skin procedure is performed. We cannot guarantee the outcome of my treatments. I agree to follow the Pre and post-treatment instruction to reduce the likelihood or severity of any adverse effects.

PRE & POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS:

I understand that failure to carefully follow the instructions below may affect my treatment outcome and increase the likelihood or severity of complications. I agree to review and adhere to these instructions prior to each appointment.

​Prior to Your Appointment:
• Avoid sun tanning at least 2 weeks prior to treatments. This will be required after treatments as well. • Avoid self-tanning creams 1 week prior to treatment.
• Do not use any medication that causes photosensitivity for at least 72 hours prior to treatment.
• Do not use Accutane (or products containing isotretinoin) for at least 6 months prior to treatment. Use of RetinA (or products containing tretinoin) is acceptable up to 5 days before treatment, provided there is no skin reaction present.

• We recommend that you avoid the use of aspirin, ibuprofen and other anti-inflammatory or blood-thinning medications at least three days prior to treatment, as this will increase the likelihood of bruising.
• The treatment area must be free of open sores, lesions or skin infections.

On The Day of Your Treatment:

Gently wash the area to be treated, removing makeup, lotion, etc. Do not apply creams, lotions or other products to the area with the exception of a topical anesthetic. If applicable, dress so that you may modestly expose the treatment area.

 

After Your Treatment: 

• You will have a mild sunburn sensation following treatment that is usually gone within a few hours. Skin redness and slight edema are normal and may last for a few days. Blistering is uncommon and when it occurs, it is not usually serious.
• Avoid cold compresses after treatment
• In the rare case that you experience any blistering or scabbing, please call our clinic as soon as possible. Also, contact us if you are experiencing prolonged redness or swelling.
