HOURS: Exempt status, Monday-Friday, on-call as needed.
REQUIREMENTS: State of Montana EMT License, Required. BLS certification. Licensed Advance EMT or Paramedic with knowledge of State and Federal EMS regulations. Experience and knowledge of EMS, including combination paid and volunteer systems, preferred. Field response and incident command experience, knowledge of ICS and its application is required. Must be NIMS compliant to ICS 400 level within 12 months of employment.
DUTIES: Responsible for administrative ambulance work and direction of all employees and activities of STAT Ground Ambulance Service (EMS). This Director will consult with the Ground Ambulance, Medical Director in determining plans and policies to be observed in the conduct of ambulance operations.
Responsible for the oversight of the Community Integrated Health (CIH) program, assuring adequate staffing and supervision of that staff, and State protocol adherence.
Provides oversight of operations of the Home Oxygen Department consistent with the overall organizational goals and the home- oxygen employee supervision. Assures that the policies and procedures of the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital home oxygen department are evidenced based and current. Assures that The Joint Commission standards for Home Oxygen and Durable Medical Equipment departments are followed and the correct policies and procedures are in place.
Provides oversight of the DME department and the DME office clerk, assuring proper processes for rental or sales of home oxygen and durable medical equipment. Assures that there are accurate billing processes and reimbursement for the DME department in place.
