**Will be cross trained to help cover Inpatient Pharmacy on call coverage.
HOURS: Full-time, Monday- Friday, 8 am – 6 pm (Exact hours will vary based on scheduling). Inpatient on call rotation (approximately 1 week per month) Days of operation subject to expand.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD. Current and Active Montana State Pharmacy License. Certified immunizer with current BLS certification.
DUTIES: Candidate would assist in the monitoring of the pharmacy’s workflow and other needs for efficient operation which includes the oversight and training of pharmacy technicians, sales clerks, student interns or graduate interns.
Provides accurate, efficient, and appropriate pharmaceutical distribution services to patients by properly interpreting physicians drug orders and dispensing the appropriate medications utilizing the accepted departmental programs for these activities. Reviews patient medical and pharmaceutical records and monitors for efficient drug therapy, drug interaction, adverse drug reactions, contraindication, allergies, and sensitivities. Compounds and dispenses medications as prescribed by doctors and dentists, by calculating, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, or oversee these activities.
Provides professional consultation, advice and drug information to providers, nurses, patients, and other ancillary medical professionals pursuant to and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
