Summer School Principal

The Harrison Central School District is seeking candidates for a position as the Sumemr School Principal. This stipended leadership position will oversee implementation of the 9-12 summer school program. Responsibilities include:

• Interviewing and recommending Summer School teachers for appointment
• Identifying prospective Summer School students and facilitating said students’ enrollment
• Developing the summer school schedule of courses
• Identifying materials and supplies needed for programs
• Supervising daily operations of summer school
• Maintaining attendance records
• Communicating with parents about students’ progress
• Managing student discipline
• Ensuring compliance with requirements for safety drills
• Coordinating the scheduling, administration, and scoring of assessments
• Preparing reports on student performance in Summer School (i.e., grades and test results) and communicating this information to the high school administration
• Supervising teaching and support staff

Effective Dates: July 3, 2023 - August 18, 2023

Stipend: $13,584

Qualifications: SBL, SDL, or SDA certification
