Bridges School Based Services Hours of Operation:
During the school year, the hours of operation are from the beginning to the end of the school day. During the summer months and school vacations/holidays the hours of operation are variable.
Arrangements for Arrival and Departure:
Bridges does not provide transportation to or from appointments. Bridges offers telehealth appointments if transportation is an issue. If you are having difficulty keeping appointments due to transportation problems, please speak with your therapist. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, please notify the clinician 24 hours in advance.
Fee Agreement:
There is no fee for families participating in school-based services, as the fee is covered through grants or insurance reimbursements.
Procedures for Medical Emergencies:
All schools have established protocols for responding to medical emergencies. Bridges staff follow the school procedure.
Procedures for the Administration of Medication:
Bridges and its staff do not administer medication to child clients
Mandated Reporting:
Child clinicians are mandated reporters for disclosures of suspected neglect or abuse, pursuant to Section 17a-101 of the Connecticut General Statutes. Clinicians report the information to the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Careline at 1-800-842-2288.
