This practice strongly utilizes psychodynamic approaches. We are looking for someone who is naturally inclined and has a strong interest to examine things on a deeper level, with more insight and with the ability to think abstractly. This includes looking at someone's past and present dynamics, transferences, patterns, defenses mechanisms and working with unconscious material.
We also utilize the therapy alliance to help clients understand their psychology and dynamics, to work through relational constructs, and to then practice in their lives what they have learned and experienced with our help. We do incorporate elements of cognitive behavioral therapy and other approaches as well.
