2025 YES! Teacher Summer Externship Application
Educators, please review the eligibility requirements below. Only apply if you teach in our six-county service area and are able to meet each listed commitment:
- Teach in a school district located in Bosque, Falls, Freestone, Hill, Limestone, or McLennan county.
- Submit all required eligibility documents by Friday, May 16, 2025.
- Participate fully in the externship from June 2-6, 2025.
- Attend the mandatory Meet & Greet Orientation on Monday, June 2, 2025, at the McLennan County Workforce Solutions Center in Waco.
- Provide your own transportation to and from the assigned business host worksite.
- Submit a high-quality, comprehensive lesson plan reflecting your experience with the business host using the provided template.
- Complete and submit a Teacher Extern Time Log signed by the business host.
- Participate in the Summary Meeting.
