This research study is evaluating the efficacy of Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (Deep TMS®) as a tool to help people with Alcohol Use Disorder reduce heavy drinking and cravings. Deep TMS® is a non-invasive technology that uses magnetic fields to stimulate targeted brain areas. Some participants will receive active Deep TMS®, and some will receive sham (placebo-like) TMS.
Who Can Join
• Male or female, 18–86 years old
• Treatment-seeking individuals with a goal of reducing or stopping heavy drinking
• Currently have 8+ days of heavy drinking per month for 3+ months
• Must be able to come to our clinic in La Jolla, CA, for in-person study assessments
There is no cost to participate. Eligible participants will receive compensation for their time and participation.
