Welcome back to another exciting year at REACH! The Nutrition Food Services Department is proud to announce that we have partnered with Preferred Meals to be our food vendor. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided by them for the 2020-2021 school year. Please feel free to look at their website preferredmealsmenu.com to see what fabulous nutritious meals they have to offer.
I wanted to share some of our program details with you before the school year begins. As stated, we will serve breakfast and lunch, which are available to all students scheduled to receive a meal. An after school snack will be served to those students who are enrolled in the after school care program, BRIDGE. We're excited to offer a variety of nutritious meals that we know the students will enjoy! If your student is on the 100% Distance Learning Program or if they are on the Hybrid Learning Program, you will still be able to receive daily breakfast and lunch.
Distance Learning: We will have a drive-up line daily. Mondays will have the option of taking just that day's breakfast and lunch or a 5-day meal pack that consists of 5 full breakfasts and 5 full lunches. Tuesday through Friday we will be handing out only daily breakfast and lunch. Drive-up hours are from 7:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Hybrid Learning: We will be handing out a Grab and Go breakfast as they arrive for the students to take to their class. Because breakfast is such an important meal for children, we offer "Second Chance Breakfast" for those students who did not make it to the first serving time. Second Chance Breakfast is offered at the start of the first recess. During this time, the same breakfast meal that was served in the morning is served and offered at the same price to the students who missed it. Lunches will be served in the classroom during each scheduled lunchtime only. After school snack is served during the BRIDGE program and is only available to students enrolled in the program.
Meal | Reduced Price | Full Price |
Breakfast | $0.30 | $2.75 |
Lunch | $0.40 | $3.90 |
Please note: If you filled out the free/reduced lunch application above, you will be notified of approval or denial via email or mail within 15 business days of application submission.
You may add money to your student's account or pay a balance at any time throughout the year by stopping by the office during business hours, sending a check in the mail, or as you pull up to the drive-through and pick up your students meals. We will notify you when your child's account reaches a negative balance. As a parent or guardian, you are financially responsible for all meals served to your student. Please see the contract on the following page. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. We are excited and are looking forward to a great year!
